Its that time of year

That smell is in the air!

As we were admiring some baby chicks, some cool looking eggs, a peacock and picking yummy oranges off some orange trees on Friday the sweetest aroma filled the air. It was coming from the orange blossoms! Oh, what bliss! All week-end long that has been the smell floating around this little town. It is getting stronger and stronger and I am loving it. If there were a way to put it in a bottle and sent it North I would do it. But I know of only one way for you to smell this sweet sent and that is coming here and breathing it in yourself. So... consider that your invitation. It is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
Orange Blossom--its a good thing!

Sew Happy!

Well now that I am the YW Camp Director all I can think about it the Fundraiser. So to help the girls earn money we are having a dinner and silent auction again. Our ward has been very supportive in years past. I am planning on donating some items to the cause. Here is just a few of the things that I have started to sew for it. It just makes me sew happy!

Now that Madison is ten yrs old. She is showing much more interest in the things that I am doing. She really wanted to sew something on her own. She finished an embroidery project a few months ago so we finally found some cute fabric to match it and she transformed it into a pillow. She takes it with her everywhere.

Here Kitty, Kitty!

We were able to visit a friend last week whose cat had 7 kittens. They were only 4 days old when the children got to see and hold them. Kendell was very afraid and would not touch them at first.

But after I held the kitten she wasn't so scared and gave the kitten a kiss.Thys needed to warm up to the kittens too. But it didn't take long for him to want to hold them. Sydney loved them from the start along with the other animals that were there to see. Madison was in Kitty Heaven. She would love to have a little baby kitty or puppy to take home but daddy is allergic.
They had so much fun. Thanks H.A. for letting us come and see your animal. You can count on us coming back very soon.

Celebrate Good Times!

Yesterday, we had a fun day. It seemed like we were singing Happy Birthday to Kendell all day long. She would sing along with us too. We went to Old Town Temecula and shopped for at a few stores. What a fun little place to go and spend time at on a sunny afternoon. Our main purpose for the trip was to visit "Professor Pennypickle's Children's Museum". The children loved it! And it is very affordable--$4.50 per person.

Just one of the many fun things to do at the Museum!
At the end of the day we sang Happy Birthday one last time to Kendell with some cupcakes and candles to blow out. It was yummy stuff! Wish you all were here to celebrate with us.

Spring Break--What to do?

Spring Break! Spring Break! and More Spring Break! Two weeks to be exact.
We are having a nice break just doing as little as possible for the next few days. Sometimes it feels good to just sleep in and hang out. But is won't last for too long. We are planning on going to some Children Museums and celebrating Kendell's big day. Yes, Kendell will be 2 years old on Thursday. She is already singing the "Happy Birthday Song" to us which is so cute too. And when we ask her what she wants for her birthday her reply is "Mommy and Me".

This is Kendell at 3 1/2 months old.

This is Kendell at 23 months old. Oh how the time has flown by and now my baby is turning two years old. She is a sweetie pie and we are grateful she is in our family. These are precious moments.

Remembering...Jarin

This is a photo taken in July 2001 in Magrath, AB, Canada. I am taking them to the park which is just down the road(which is paved for half the walk). The cousins are Jarin, Delaney, Emmie and Madison.
We are thinking of our sweet nephew and cousin, Jarin who we love and miss so much. He has been gone from our family for 3 years and we think of him very often. We love you!

Just yesterday!

It feels like it was just yesterday that Madison and I traveled to BC and went camping with Jilleen and her kids at Miracle Beach. Madison is only 1 year old in this picture. She was a skinny little thing then and still is to this day!

Madison is posing for the photo in the front yard of our new house. We had only lived here for 6 months. She is 4 years old in this photo.

With braces on her teeth and a smile on her face. She is a sweet and kind daughter, sister and friend. Madison is such a gem! We love her and wish her a happy 10th birthday.
How does it go by so fast?
I look at all my children and wish they would stay tiny, cuddly and cute forever. But at the same time, it is a new adventure seeing them grow and learn and live their lives. I think that one of the coolest parts and most rewarding things about parenting for me is to see them learn about the gospel and be taught and enlightened by the spirit and gain testimonies for themselves.
