True North Strong and Free!

In honor of the Olympics being held in Vancouver, BC we wore our "Believe" t-shirts that my mom bought for everybody. Thank-you Mom. You are the best. It was really fun matching each other. It was nice to be able to find each other in the crowds and our fellow Canadians would stop to chat and say Hello. We also had general comments asked about the shirts as well. It was a great conversational piece.

We just love the ride "Its a Small World". They revamped it and added some new characters to it as well. But the Royal Mounted Police Guy is my favorite. He is the only one that represents Canada.

We all said "Cheese" with Tigger wearing our matching t-shirts. But did you notice Gary or Kendell aren't in the picture?

Good Ol' Gary wore his t-shirt too. He had more that one person ask him where he was from in Canada. He just played along with it and did the accent to match. It was quite amusing!

Kendell was sick with a bad cold and a fever the day we went to Disneyland so she stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa. They made sure her fever didn't get out of control and she could take a good nap. She loves to go to their house! Thanks G-ma and G-pa.

Beach Day!

There is just something special about the beach. Perhaps its the roar of the ocean, the crashing of the waves, the smell in the air, the wind in your hair or the sand on your feet. It is truly an awesome experience.

It was a windy day. The sun started to shine through the clouds and warm us up. The highlight was that there wasn't very many people there at all.

It is very relaxing and beautiful. The kids look great too!

Such beautiful children in such a beautiful setting!

Best Friends!

True friends and forever cousins! Yes, they had such a great time together. Madi and Olivia were always together having fun, giggling, telling stories, singing silly songs, playing games and building memories. These two girls have a great relationship--it is just a big bummer that they live so far away. When it was time to say goodbye...it wasn't so easy but they did it. When Madi came home from school the day I had taken Jilleen and the kids to the airport she was hoping that for some unknown reason they would still be here and she asked if they were gone. Her heart was broken and she was very sad that her cousin and best friend was gone. This made me so sad and I wanted to take the pain away. I cheered her up and Madi is OK now. She can call Montreal anytime. Thank goodness for phones, eh!

Very Busy Play Days!

Very Busy Fun Filled Days!

Over the past 2 weeks we have been busy, very busy with some family that has come to visit us from Canada. Today we drove that last of our family to the airport and said good-bye. That is always so hard for me. But amazingly I didn't cry! Here are a few of the fun things that we did together.

California Adventure, Redlands Temple, Disneyland, San Diego, LA and The American Girl Store, the Beach, Pasadena Childrens Museum, Health food stores, Shopping and more shopping, picking oranges, hot tubing, playing Wii and just being together. There just wasn't enough time in the day to do everything on our list. So. Cal has so much to do.
It was very late, we had been at Disney land all day and we were just getting ready to leave when we saw Mickey and Minnie. It was a perfect end to a very hot but happy day.

Spotlight

Preschool Spotlight
Thys was spotlighted for preschool this week.
He is a happy and cheerful little guy. Thys was excited to share the things that he likes with his classmates. I scrapbooked three fun pages for the spotlight then taped them all onto poster board to hold them all together. This way I can take them off the poster board and transfer them into his scrapbook when we are done. These are the photos that I used from the past 12 months. These are just a few things that Thys loves.

Thys loves Animals, his Bike, Popsicles, Birthdays, his Friends, Victoria B.C., Pizza, Cousins, Fishlake, his Family, Jumping on the Trampoline and his Daddy. We are so very blessed to have him in our family. I am often reminded that he is our little miracle to us and we love him so much.
